This design was inspired by some of the bright colors I’ve been seeing so far this season. Some were sprinkled across flowers, others were on someone’s dress, some may have been on the walls. All of it reminded me of family and friends and a time when things were simpler, when we all sat down in the spring during a family holiday.
What colors remind you of spring? Will you be gathering somewhere this weekend?
The season has changed. Summer has begun on my side of the globe. With the summer solstice yesterday, I couldn’t help but be inspired. I drew this to resemble something I used to have on this lovely novelty mug now long gone. Sadly, it broke a long time ago. I’ll always remember the smiling sun that was painted on it. The little face always brought me a sense of peace.
This is my Sunday afternoon art project. I re-edited an older snapshot I had of a pleasant late-afternoon sunset. It’s hue has been adjusted to make it look like the sky & ambient lighting is a vast array of pink shades.
Since Sunday is often a time for family, friends, and relaxing, I figured I’d keep it simple & limit my words for today. Now, just sit back, relax, and take in the imaginary warmth of my pink sun rays. 🙂
