Textures and patterns are something I often design in my spare time as a sort of sister to accompany the other artwork. These are in just as high demand as scenery and the other types of designs I specialize in.
It’s been another rough & trying week. My schedule has been turned upside down. We don’t get to slow down, though. Our son is entering the 4th grade this year, after all. We have to prepare. What lies ahead we’re unsure of. If you follow us on any of our social media accounts though, you know we’ve decided to go ahead again this year with #31Nightmares anyway. More on that very soon.
Fall has been hesitant to arrive this year on my part of the globe. We’ve seen a few hints of it. However, the temperature refuses to dip. The result has been some very disgruntled tourists that enjoy traveling to the NY/NJ/PA area this time of year. As you could imagine, no cool weather means no gorgeous colorful leaves everywhere. They are trying so hard to turn, but they haven’t quite reached “peak color”—a term the local meteorologists describe in their weather reports.
My own life is going through a similar bumpy transition. I’ve got things all lined up and so much is looking promising, but some of the toxic negativity I’ve been constantly flushing from my life these past few months simply refuses to die.
This design was made with those thoughts in mind. We’ll just have to see what these next few months brings, won’t we?
Are you going through a transition? Is it fall where you are? Have you seen some pretty colors this season? Do tell. You know I love a good coffee chat!
Have a blushingly beautiful Sunday!
Fun Fact: The leaves in this piece were created using a custom brush made out of the leaves from this photo. They were the inspiration behind the title.
One of my favorite images of fall remains the scarecrow. Although they are not always effective (as depicted here) you have to admire their craftsmanship. The scarecrow also happens to be my favorite character from The Wizard of Oz.
This is one of my favorite tracks from the movie. I thought it fit well here.
Have you ever seen something imperfect and loved it anyway?
