Sleepy Sundays: Rest Under the Stars

Rest Under the Stars

This tile is an early concept for a pattern I am trying to make inspired by more space-related themes.

What’s been on your brain lately?

Have a starry Sunday!

During this week my son and I are both on vacation. I’ve loved the time spent catching up on everything that goes on in that growing mind of his.

When he glanced at this one his response was

“Who lives there, Mom?”

You’d be surprised at what a conversation that could spark up even among adults.

Who do you think lives here? ( There are no wrong answers. )

The Erratic Sun: Cover Reveal

I am both pleased and honored to present to you today, the cover for an outstanding recently released book by two authors who have homes in the blogosphere.

This project has been my baby for some time, while being juggled with some other wonderful things that have already come to fruition. So when Matt approached me with some ideas, I couldn’t help but take this on. Sci-Fi is a genre that certainly gets imagination whirling. Together these two authors wrote a beautiful story, that managed to flow so nicely, to where you couldn’t even tell when the writer had changed.

I’m still ecstatic that they asked lil’ ol’ me to do the cover art for this book.

Without further delay, I present to you, the fresh cover of The Erratic Sun.

Sleepy Sundays: Cosmic Creation

Cosmic CreationCosmic Creation

When trying to get a grip on 2014 some unexpected inspiration hit and hit hard. Everything is so new still. I’m a bit overwhelmed by some issues that carried over from last year. The world always keeps turning, though. The universe certainly doesn’t stop for any one person.

My other half and I are celebrating our 10 year anniversary tonight. Although life is not always pleasant, it somehow keeps giving you chances to start over. All of these thoughts of “new”, cycling, and restarting had me thinking of space and how it all works. Even though I’m pretty sure the stars didn’t have much to do with my son’s father and I meeting – I can’t deny the possibility that there was some otherworldly force at work.

Have you ever felt something unexplainable was in control?

Have a spacey Sunday!
