This time of year usually brings in a lot of autumn design requests. This year has been no different. Although my schedule has changed a little, and I’m still in a healing process, I look forward to doing these designs each year as they’ve become sort of a fun tradition. Keep sending in those greeting card requests as well because I love doing prints for as long as I can until my schedule fills up. 🙂
Textures and patterns are something I often design in my spare time as a sort of sister to accompany the other artwork. These are in just as high demand as scenery and the other types of designs I specialize in.
It’s been another rough & trying week. My schedule has been turned upside down. We don’t get to slow down, though. Our son is entering the 4th grade this year, after all. We have to prepare. What lies ahead we’re unsure of. If you follow us on any of our social media accounts though, you know we’ve decided to go ahead again this year with #31Nightmares anyway. More on that very soon.
We harvest a storm of emotion during the fall just as nature does the same. It’s about the change over to new pathways and new beginnings as we enter a new season.
Our family happened upon a very intriguing little area this weekend. I was so taken by the scenery, sparks started flying as to how I was going to work these into my designs.
This tiny stretch of cornfield was just uphill to a roadside and being this is the harvesting time of year, I chose that title for my works.
The area had such atmosphere to it. The tiny, thin rows created the most gorgeous, rusty-colored skyline of sorts.
What do you harvest in the fall? It is love? Family? Creativity? Do tell.
Autumn is finally here in this neck of the woods. The wind has blown in and with it, that gorgeous palette has started to become visible. There’s been a strange combination of warm days and cool nights that I’m told will bring about some loud, vibrant colors around mid-October.
I cannot wait to see the show nature puts on for us. This artwork was inspired by the anticipation of that little dance of the season.
What’s a strange, yet wonderful combination you adore? Do tell. You know I love a good coffee chat!
