Sleepy Sundays: Fossils

Fossils
During the sort of stitching together done with this piece I explored using a custom texture effect I created that mimics concrete. For some random reason my mind wandered off thinking of fossils and imprints while experimenting with the textures. All of it had me pondering of how some memories never fade and how certain (although few) things in life stand the test of time.

What’s something that has stood the “test of time” for you?

Have a lasting Sunday!

This Sunday I’m sharing two designs.

The colorful still in contrast with this dreamy night scene were both inspired by areas both visited this time of November. The autumn season has continued to seep into my designs once again. An approaching full moon creates wonderful light ideas in my night-inspired creations.

Do you love autumn nights?

Have an inspiring Sunday!

Could you imagine walking past a place like this during the night? I took just such the stroll once in a nightmare. That walk inspired this art.

City Springtime in NY

Over the Easter weekend we were all over the place. On Saturday we visited some family in NY. What a glorious spring day it was! I managed to snap some photos of our trip and I have to say these are some of my favorite shots ever taken. Something about the day provided the most spectacular lighting.

I’m sure you’ll see these incorporated into my artwork somehow soon.
