Sleepy Sundays: Crimson Waves

There’s been a lot of talk these past few weeks about “peak colors” for fall foliage in my region here on this east coast section of the clouds. Some say this time for the greatest variety and most gorgeous hue is around October, but it largely depends on the temperatures of the season. This new wall art/greetings combo tile was designed with that time in mind. There are trees around here that turn this bright, candy apple red when the conditions are just right. Many of these sights usually make it into my designs each autumn season. This year is no different.

Do you enjoy the fall season? We sure do!

The Seven Sceptres Cover & More

[Reposted from The Matticus Kingdom.]

It’s been a busy and weird kind of week, and isn’t it interesting how those go together as often as they do. So far this week, I’ve learned that in some circles “3 – 5 business days” can actually mean less than 8 hours… and, I’ve learned that “3 – 5 business days” can also […]

Sleepy Sundays: Exist

Exist © 2017 Snapping Turtle Arts & Publishing

There’s a bunch of things planned for this new year coming up on CardCastles.

Yet only time will tell if they come to fruition.

Though, despite the odds working against me, I believe.

I believe with every ragged fiber of me, because if there’s one thing my life has shown me, it’s that anything can rise from ashes.

Such has been true for me time and time again. This weekend I felt the worst I have ever felt—

And yet, I smile.”

Why?

I know it’s not over yet. In fact, with the new year rolling in, it’s only just beginning.

I’m aware all of this may sound oh-so-very cliché. I’m not blind to the notion that some people out there are sick to death of hearing me preach the power of positive thought. (Those people can stuff it, by the way.) In spite of all that, I want you to keep going with me, through whatever trials you may be facing as well. We can’t give up and we can’t give in. BELIEVE in yourself. It’s a point I have to make. It’s important.

We’re all just getting started. 😉

Have a beautiful Sunday, my loves.

& Have a very happy New Year!

Fun facts: This artwork was inspired by elements of science fiction and recent talks buzzing around about alien life. It’s been a little while since something in the “surreal” genre was posted here at CardCastles. This Sunday changes that.

This fall-themed template is another multi-purpose I designed this week along with my other projects. It is all part of a design collection of fall designs for Snapping Turtle, as additions for the month of October. I’ll be doing fall themed greetings and wall art and more like this all October long for this custom collection. I look forward to moving the Snapping Turtle Gallery here to CardCastles!

What new plans do you have this fall? Anything exciting? Do tell. You know I love a good coffee chat.

Have a peaceful Sunday!

This weekend I started to wrap up projects I’ve been working on for months now. Next week begins the countdown for our community’s favorite event, #31Nightmares. While I placed the end drafts into my folders I worked on this multi-purpose template for future prints. It was fully inspired by the recent autumnal equinox and some of our feathered friends in the skies migrating to warmer regions.

What do you look forward to this fall?

Have an adventurous Sunday!

The Erratic Sun: Cover Reveal

I am both pleased and honored to present to you today, the cover for an outstanding recently released book by two authors who have homes in the blogosphere.

This project has been my baby for some time, while being juggled with some other wonderful things that have already come to fruition. So when Matt approached me with some ideas, I couldn’t help but take this on. Sci-Fi is a genre that certainly gets imagination whirling. Together these two authors wrote a beautiful story, that managed to flow so nicely, to where you couldn’t even tell when the writer had changed.

I’m still ecstatic that they asked lil’ ol’ me to do the cover art for this book.

Without further delay, I present to you, the fresh cover of The Erratic Sun.

Artist Feature: Grayson Queen of The Queen Creative

There isn’t enough time or words in the world to give the following artist a proper spotlight here in this little card castle in the clouds.

Grayson Queen is a California based artist and author. Instead of blabbering on and boring you to tears, I’ll just let his monumental talents speak for themselves.
