Sleepy Sundays: Along the Pumpkin Patch

There are usually a lot of requests in the CardCastles inbox this time of year for greeting card prints. This little in flux usually lasts until around January and then things begin to slow down. I always enjoy making them, especially around the holidays. Halloween is one of my favorite seasons to design for in the fall. Some of my favorites usually go to teachers and mothers for the classroom or children’s parties. I just added custom invitations to the list for that reason.

What are your favorite seasons or holidays?

Have a warm Sunday!

Sleepy Sundays: Windy Nights

This weekend while I made a new folder for a project that’s closing and another for upcoming holiday greetings and other things. We had a little November night wind storm. Shortly after it began to rain. With the quiet in the house and the pitter-patter outside, it was the perfect conditions to work in, and some of it inspired this new addition.

Are you in planning mode yet for the new year? Do tell. You know I love a good coffee chat. 🙂

Sleepy Sundays: Like Stones

After last weekend’s unexpected shutdown, I’m happy to present two new designs this Sunday.

Both were inspired by magnificent dreams had over a much-needed summer vacation.

Our son came to us and spoke of wonderful dreams too, so we told him, write it down.

Write it down.

Do you keep a journal/diary?

Have a bright Sunday!

Sleepy Sundays: Fossils

Fossils
During the sort of stitching together done with this piece I explored using a custom texture effect I created that mimics concrete. For some random reason my mind wandered off thinking of fossils and imprints while experimenting with the textures. All of it had me pondering of how some memories never fade and how certain (although few) things in life stand the test of time.

What’s something that has stood the “test of time” for you?

Have a lasting Sunday!
