The Information Broker

Well darlings,

I’m excited to reveal to you another collaboration with my two favorite authors!

The Information Broker, the sequel to The Erratic Sun

is my third cover artwork for a book or novel that is available for purchase on Amazon.

[Click to purchase on Amazon for Kindle or paperback!]
My dear friends Matt “Matticus” Blashill & Micheal “Revis” Hansen have worked very hard to give you another beautiful installment to this story. For those that enjoyed The Erratic Sun, I highly recommend this sequel.

If you aren’t familiar with either, I suggest giving The Erratic Sun a spin.

& If you’re into the fantasy genre, check out The Seven Sceptres as well. (Also available right here at CardCastles by clicking on the book in the sidebar.)

Happy reading!

Come back & let me know what you think!!

31 Nightmares 2018: The 19th

It’s time for another trip down Memory Lane…

The following image was first shared in 2013 as part of my Winter Gallery: Part II posting. What wasn’t shared was the interesting story behind it…

I used to live much further from where I currently reside. I’ve bounced around the state of New Jersey throughout my life. In 1995-1996 my grandmother was going through a very messy divorce and she started hinting that we were going to move. Right around that time I started having this recurring dream about this small patch of woods I had never seen before in my waking life or in my dreams. The dreams intrigued me due to their vivid nature.

What I couldn’t shake during this time was the sense that this place existed somewhere in real life. I don’t know how I knew it—I just did.

About a year later, my grandmother found a condo in a quiet little area and informed me this is where we’d be moving. The day we set out to plant our roots in this new home, I was instantly shocked as we neared the entrance. Just around the corner from where we were about to live was the little patch of woods I had seen in my dreams. The place had a foreboding energy about it. The best way I could describe it was “an otherworldly feel” in my eyes. The moment of realization sent chills right through me. I had strange instances of what some would refer to as psychic vision before, but nothing like this. I was rattled to the core.

We moved there anyway and I would up living in that home until 2012. Fun fact? The place was haunted too. Extremely. Like Poltergeist-level haunted.

This image was taken years after I moved in. The area is still untouched to this day. I edited the colors a bit because this was originally going to be used for a book cover of my own. That book later got scrapped after my laptop died and 8 chapters of the novel were not able to be recovered. Soon after, I gave up writing.

CardCastles Artist Spotlight: November 2017

“It’s been a while since we got to do one of these and I’m happy that I decided to bring this series back as Snapping Turtle is now moving in.

Over the years working with Snapping Turtle and having my services available there, I’ve gotten to meet, talk to, interact with some wonderful people a lot of which have artistic and creative talents of their own. What branched was an art community of beautiful sorts.”

— J. “Daydreams”

concept artist

Some of my friends/clients/family/those in my network have businesses and ventures of their own.

Today during this CC Artist Spotlight I’d like to highlight a handful of these creatives for all what it’s worth.

And that’s everything.

After a long while,

I’m pleased to be promoting fellow artists and creatives here yet again.

Jessie Stevens and Madhawi Karaya

You can find out more about both of these lovely ladies by clicking on either one of their names. What we’re highlighting today here at CardCastles is their beautiful book that was a collaborative effort of both of their artistic talents.

Originally a fan of this next entry, Oschino Vasquez is someone in my network I spoke to a few times through Instagram and he is extremely down to earth, immensely multi-talented, like a lot I’ve known from the Philly area.

Many don’t know Oschino outside of his work with Jay-Z and the Roc-a-Fella crew, State Property, O is also a talented artist.

His artwork is the business below we are spotlighting today.

I’ve gotten to know Monique through my network for a little under a year, I think, correct me if I’m wrong, but she has been a ray of sunshine any time I’ve spoken to her. & She is quite a beautiful human being. Go follow her on social media if you aren’t already to see what I mean. She is quite the multi-talent as well!

Today I’m highlighting Monique’s gorgeous store.

Go shop around!

31 Nightmares 2016: The 12th

My fusion with the horror genre began long ago. The start of it all was the first time taking in A Nightmare On Elm Street. After that, it fast became a passion; one I took with me through all of my schooling. I started writing short stories in grade school. This continued through middle school until I started onto longer compositions.

It was within these years of writing horror, I fell in love with another Master of Horror, Mr. Stephen King.

Aside from Wes, King is probably one of my largest influences.

I guess you could say, Wes inspired me to write and King kept me at it.

Doctor Sleep

Doctor Sleep is one of King’s more recent novels—one I was most certainly gripped by. This novel certainly has a place here during 31 Nightmares for its unique approach to psychological horror.

This story is the follow-up for King’s other well-known masterpiece, The Shining. The stories flow together nicely, and yet this one takes on a direction all its own by touching on the occult. I highly recommend this novel to horror lovers. I am without a doubt surprised this has not been made into a full-length movie sequel as well.

Pick this up online or anywhere books are sold. You won’t regret it, unless you need sleep…

Some Kind of Luck

clovers

I’ve never believed much in luck, but I often joke about it with friends.

“I have about as much luck as Al Bundy.”

Yet there’s been some seemingly lucky things happening around here lately. clovers

The Erratic Sun

The Erratic Sun has been published! Even better, Matticus is hosting a contest over at The Matticus Kingdom where ultimately, an autographed copy the book is the prize!

Early this morning, our Stories Family welcomed a baby!

Art by Glorious Mettle Trending on CardCastles!

After going over stat reports across CardCastles and its now various hubs this morning, I realized Glorious Mettle, my dear friend’s artwork is trending! She was among the most clicked on & visited this month, along with The Erratic Sun and my Dreamscape piece.

Glori’s artwork is still blowing up CardCastles social media stats! So Congrats to my gal Glorious Mettle! I wish you many art sales & lots of love!

Behind the scenes there’s been plenty of chatter of more collaborations. This only gives me a positive attitude going into spring. I’ve got plenty more up my sleeves in the coming months.

AND

Beautiful Nightmares

If you haven’t heard…

It’s confirmed. I’ll be resurrecting #31Nightmares in tribute to Wes Craven again this October.

31 Nightmares
#31 Nightmares Series
Due to popular demand, and a rewarding experience, I decided to bring this wonderful series back again for another year. One of my childhood idols, a horror film icon, found me this way, and I almost feel like I have to make him and Wes very proud this year. Expect a big celebration!

The Erratic Sun – Contest the first

Attention book lovers! Matticus is hosting contests where the prize is none other than, The Erratic Sun!

Details below:

The Matticus Kingdom

The Erratic Sun - Cover It’s just so beautiful: #TheErraticSun

So, I happen to have (not yet, really, but I will because I’ve already ordered them) a bunch of extra copies of The Erratic Sun…  They are just waiting to be signed and mailed to the winners of the various contests I’m going to host in the coming days.

I’m going to start simple.  If you want a signed copy, leave a comment (hopefully promising to also leave a review once you’ve finished reading) and before I post the next contest I will use a random number generator to pick the winning comment.  w

That’s simple enough, right?  Leave a comment and you could be the winner.

And, if I haven’t already made it abundantly clear, the winner gets:  a signed copy of The Erratic Sun, written by Revis and myself, and with cover art by the talented J.

Who wouldn’t…
