Sleepy Sundays: Brush Waltz

Brush Waltz
Brush Waltz

When I was about age 7 I would sometimes accompany my grandmother to her then job as a janitor. I remember her being a supervisor at one point and this would consist of her opening and checking the school for about an hour on weekends.

I would wander the halls until she was finished and I often fell in love over & over again with the school’s murals plastered all along the long hallways. The sun would shine through some of the classroom windows and the paint would seem to glimmer and glisten. The colors would grab my attention every single time.

This piece was 100% inspired by those times.

Do you have a favorite style of art? Is there a childhood memory that stands out? What’s inspiring you today?

Have a shimmering Sunday!
