Sleepy Sundays: Remembering

Remembering Remembering

It’s been discussed here more than once that March triggers a stir of negative emotions for me. This year I’m trying my best to morph that truth into a positive.

The pain of loss can sting quite a bit. For some of us, it doesn’t matter how much time floats by. Bringing up that name, hearing a certain song, taking in a familiar scent, riding down that road, opening up that box, or simply a date on the calendar can dig up the most unwanted sadness. When I feel like this, I create. This is how I get this mess out of me.

Like some of you have told me,

“What a beautiful mess it is.”

How do you cope with sadness?

Have a stirring Sunday!

  1. I generally don’t cope with sadness in healthy ways, either. I get overwhelmed easily and my ability to make good decisions gets extremely compromised. Hence, I do really stupid things…

    1. Some therapists I’ve spoken to have said it’s a combo of a healthy outlet and a support system that tends to work.
It sounds flakey at first, but it’s really not.
Take this place for example. Outlet & support system in one. It may not be a fix-all but, it helps a lot of us. That has to count for something.

          1. I didn’t suspect either. I was quite overwhelmed by the response the first time I shared myself on my blog back in 2012. It was a very welcome surprise.

    1. Um, I’M going to argue. That’s BS. You are TOTALLY worth it. Just because you don’t see worth in yourself doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist. It just means you need to look harder, because I see it clearly.

    2. Umm I will to argue, missy! I used to do it too, so I understand, still do in some ways. We can all be a little self-destructive sometimes.

You better write me. Over & over & over again.

      Love to YOU. ♥️😉
