Sleepy Sundays: Signs of Spring

Signs of SpringIt’s been a while since photos have made an appearance on our Sleepy Sundays. This weekend I’ll be sharing two versions of the same photo. Initially, I wasn’t happy with how this one pictured above came out. I loved the colors but the zoom I used chopped up the resolution because I wasn’t using a high-quality camera at the time. So, what’s a girl to do when she has something every Sunday to share with you?

I got to tinkering. Distant Spring
Although I still love the colors of the original, this one has a cleaner look to it. Kind of has a vintage feel, doesn’t it? I’ll let you be the judge, jury, and executioner on this one.

Which picture do you like the most? What are your favorite signs of spring?

Have a special Sunday!

    1. Sadly, I’m not sure what they’re called either but I’ve seen a lot of them here in Jersey since I was a kid.
They seem to only bloom in the spring & only last about a month. Then, they shed their flowers & turn completely green if that helps.

  1. The first one makes me feel nostalgic. Almost sleepy. I like that. The second one freaks me out a little. Granted, I’m slightly zen right now (read: high), so that’s probably the reason for it.

    1. Haha!! That was the best input I’ve heard yet. Yeah, the second one has an old-timey feel that could definitely creep someone out. I totally get you surprisingly because – when I think old-timey, I associate it with ghosts for some reason. Probably from all of my own writing.
But hey, Humans Are Weird. 😉

  2. I think I agree with you with the pictures. The colours above are better. But the one below appear more peaceful and still. But I think I would prefer the picture on top because it gives off a more lively feel.

My favourite sign of Spring would be the colourfulness of it all. And the fact that the cold Winter is going away.

    1. Thank you so much for your input, sindy. It’ll help me later on with a special floral gallery post I’m planning.
I love the colors of spring too. 🙂 & This winter was certainly a bit cruel. We went below freezing here several times.
