Sleepy Sundays: Wintry

Those of us on the east coast of the United States have been getting pounded by snow as of late. It’s not even winter yet, but we can certainly feel it around the bend. The ice/snow combo wrecked some plans we had to get shopping completed. Although I have to admit it’s so lovely to watch. We huddled together as a family and viewed something I also enjoyed as a child.

Here are a bit of timeless lyrics that always stayed with me from this movie. It fits well when speaking of untimely weather. There is indeed always tomorrow. Well, until we drift off of this Earth, right?

When was the last time you encountered untimely weather?

Have a wintry Sunday!

  1. Cards, It is now shortly after 10pm on the 26th, I won’t even speak to the temperature here in the Tampa area, and while I know you have had a bit of a reprieve the last couple days, it still doesn’t compare to our winter here in Florida. This is a lovely clip from Rudolph, and I do find myself looking to tomorrow. LOL When I was a kid I remember a couple dads used similar language about me LOL. Take care, please be safe. — Bill

    1. I have a sister in Florida. You guys get some nasty hurricanes down there & that scares me half to death. When we had Sandy out here in Jersey I have to admit I was terrified.

I’m glad you liked little Rudolph. I loved the movie so much as a kid & even now as an adult.
      *sending many hugs your way*

    1. Ha! I’m right there with ya hun. It was such a mess over here. It was pretty on all of the grass & trees but it turned the roads into mush, muck, and then later on rigid ice. 😦
There was no way anyone could go anywhere unless your vehicle had ice skates. 😛

  2. Hi DD! I’ve always enjoyed Rudolph. The show was a family tradition when I was a kid and again when our son was little. I can barely believe the show has been on the air for nearly 50 years. And yes, there’s always tomorrow. 🙂 It’s a good way to look at life.

The weather here isn’t too bad. We’ve had snow a few times, but not enough to have to shovel. It’s early though. I’m sure there will be plenty. Hope you and your family are well!

    1. Hey Maddie! Oh how I’ve missed your visits. 😀 Yeah, we’ve had to shovel but, it hasn’t been tremendous amounts yet. The ice is the only thing that worries me. It makes the roads treacherous so we’ve had to stay in.
We do plan on going out tomorrow, though. So I hope they have the roads cleaned up by then. Our little family is doing just fine. Our little guy has kept us entertained with all of his hilarious antics. I think we may have a future stand up comedian. 😛
