Sleepy Sundays

Since posting something small with minimal text has become somewhat of my Sunday ritual here, I’ve dreamt up a name for it. From now on I’ll be titling these posts “Sleepy Sunday” and tagging it as such. The same exceptions apply here that are already in effect for my “Daily Daydreams“.

There will be short, “dreamy”, artwork, photography, or possibly even poetry-driven post every Sunday unless:

  • I’m under the weather.
  • I have some family or work-related obligation.
  • Some natural disaster has knocked the power out.
  • A zombie apocalypse happens.

With that out of the way, here is my little doodle for today. It’s very girly, but I think both male and female could appreciate it. ๐Ÿ˜€

It’s called:

Fluttering, butterfly art

(My son helped me choose the colors. He’s the greatest.)

  1. That is so pretty. Your son made great choices with the colors.

This evoked a memory! When we first bought our house, our son’s bedroom was a room previously occupied by girls. The mom was very crafty, and instead of painting the room, she ironed and starched sheets to staple onto the walls. It really turned out quite nice. The sheets had flowers and butterflies. We left it that way for a couple of years. I had to blow this picture up from a very small one, but you get the idea. The best part about this huge room was Rich running that 2×4 up to the ceiling so we could have a puppet theater. Ahhh (happy sigh) … we had so much fun in that room. ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. Ah! I can see the similarity with the colors! What an adorable room. ๐Ÿ™‚
I love the little Bert & Ernie & the thought of many puppet shows taking place.
Thank you so much for sharing that, Maddie! I love when art & writing can take us back someplace.
